Panevėžio statybos trestas SC is one of the few construction organisations that has its own construction laboratory. Various analyses and testing of construction materials are performed here, which confirm the quality and suitability of the materials used in performing relevant works. The laboratory also provides consultations on various issues concerning the quality of construction and the detection and elimination of defects, as well as the preparation of quality commissions.
In 2003, 634 rounds of concrete quality tests were performed – 52 tests of fillers and inert substances, 12 tests of metal structures, 13 tests of sandstone/bricks, 17 tests of content, 5 examinations and many other analyses.
In 2003, the National Accreditation Bureau extended PST’s license for testing and issued a new accreditation certificate according to the new standard LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2000. This entitles PST to perform testing of concrete and mortar fillers, ceramic tiles, bricks and tiles, silicate bricks, grouts, concrete compounds, reinforced steel, timber and parquet.
