The environmental management system meeting the requirements of LST EN ISO 14001:2015 and successfully implemented at Panevezio statybos trestas AB allows the company to ensure compliance with legal and other environmental requirements. In pursuance of the established environmental policy, the company seeks to preserve the healthy environment for the employee, biological and landscape diversity, and optimal use of natural resources. The subdivisions and sites of the company determine significant environmental aspects taking into account environmental impact of its activities and having identified legal requirements. Potential risk of significant aspects to environmental impact is assessed and opportunities to achieve the objectives of the environmental management system established by the company are determined. For management of significant environmental aspects and reduction of negative impact, targets and objectives are established, environmental management programs or environmental plans are prepared. The environmental aspects are determined considering a life cycle perspective. The following main life cycle stages of the product and/or service are assessed: raw material acquisition, design, fabrication of building products, transportation, construction of a building, use of a building, end-of-life treatment and final disposal (waste recycling, management).
The company determines the indicators of environmental performance, which are measured and monitored. The company arranges training where employees of the company and those working on its behalf are familiarized with the environmental policy, significant environmental aspects, targets and objectives, potential risks and emergencies, preventive measures to avoid them, emergency preparedness and response plan, waste handling and sorting, and safe use of hazardous chemicals.
We are guided by the principle of being the safe company to environment, employees and future generations!
