Vilniaus pilių jungtinis kompleksas, Valdovų rūmų atkūrimas

About project

The rebuild-related construction activities in the area of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania were started on 10 May 2002. In the middle of May 2013, Panevėžio statybos trestas AB successfully completed works in Part A of the Palace and handed it over to the management of the palace for further preparations related to the Lithuanian Presidency of the European Union. It is planned that the most important events of the presidency will take place in the grand hall of the palace, which covers the area of 450 square meters and can accommodate around 600 guests. The palace is comprised of four sections located round a closed courtyard. Total area of basements, three floors and an attic exceeds 10,000 square meters. The area of the courtyard is 2,500 square meters. Since the beginning of construction, lots of changes have been made in the design because as it is said “the deeper you dig, the more you find”.
